We know we've been talking about STiiCKs quite a bit lately. And the truth is, we're well aware of it. So as a gift towards your patience and patronage, here's a little freebie.
Meet your next coffee table. Best of all, it will probably cost you $30 to make yourself. Just head down to your local reclaimed materials store and pick up several dozen bricks (will vary greatly depending the footprint you're after). They might even have a glass top, but if not, you'll be able to find one on Craigslist for $10-$20. You can even have a brand new piece cut to size at your local glass shop, although that will likely cost you $100 or so.
Simply lay them out with the middle hollowed out, making sure to interlace the bricks, especially in the corners. You'll then a few rubber bumpers from home Depot to elevate the glass top off the bricks and viola! what a lovely modern coffee table. the center is great for storage or low-oxygen foliage to add color.
